Yea, it's a repost but worth it to bring it back up. That guy needs to hook up with the two investors for ideas on whatever TV show that is. I would imagine that he would get some backing from that.

Myself, I can get down on a creeper, but getting up and off of one looks like a monkey f*%#*@+ a football. I could actually use one.

For the everyday person, I think it's pure laziness. When somebody has the problems of bending over and getting up or down from a creeper, I think it's great.

Oh ya, its hilarious when a physically challenged person or older person who still enjoys working on stuff has troubles getting up or down from the floor or bending over an engine to do something.

Unless you have some other meaning behind your obscene post, you are a jackass. If you mean something else, my apologies

Now as someone who is always still trying to figure out how to do things.
With a leg that has had the knee replaced twice and currently has a fractured kneecap that is basically dead (has no blood supply) and will not heal I am facing a few years of life where I am basically really in trouble getting up and down I like this a lot!!!!!

I took his post to mean "for those with no physical ailments, it's lazyness" and "for those with physical issues, it's great"...not sure calling him an *** for that statement was justified :dunno:

"For the everyday person, I think its pure laziness" tell me, what is it to be considered an everyday person? Lots of people are disabled somehow by leg or back injuries, advanced in age or other wise. I'm sure he is a great person, but his reply comes off all wrong

Maybe you should invest in some reading comprehension skills classes.

Is English your second language? He specifically stated that he thought it was useful for people who have trouble with creepers. Buy hey, any excuse to get bent out of shape and call the guy a jackass, right? At least you're passive-agressive enough to apologize in advance.

yea but let see it go under a corvette
Better yet, how about it get under a regular pick-up truck?
Notice the truck in the video is on jack-stands.

We work on (and under) pick-ups everyday and I bought one of the 'Bone' Creepers. It rolls around great, but I can barely fit under even a 4x4 truck with it and often find it easier to use my cheapo HF creeper. That thing in the video can't be any lower than my Bone creeper, so I don't see much use for it for most people, and probably why he can't get investors for it.

It is cool and all but if you have to jack up your car or truck and put it on jack stands anyway, you should probably just get a platform, 2, or 4 post lift. ???

For me, the only creeper I have owned for years now is a piece of cardboard. I simply will not own one with wheels anymore as I got too frustrated with not having any leverage while laying on one, to getting stuck running over an air hose, electrical cord or tools...

I can see this also as an aid for the elderly or physically challenged people.
Honestly the first thing I thought of was my 83 year old mother who is barely able to walk and has fallen a number of times. If she could roll and pull herself onto one of these, it could help her back up to a sitting position where she can then move to a place where she could transfer to her bed, scooter or chair.. Pretty hard to roll over the controls for sure, but the basic principle is good.

Also I didn't see anything wrong with what Nutts wrote. I guess it's all in how your frame of mind was when you read it..

It's a neat idea. A lot of thought and engineering went into it.

I'm not sure what the retail cost of something like that would be, but if it approaches $800-1000 it will have limited appeal. Before most people would spend that much on a chair/creeper, they would probably opt to spend a little more and get a 2 or 4 post lift. Of course, the Chinese will be able to copy it and sell it for $159, next to the HF toolboxes.

For most vehicles, other than lifted or 4WD pickups, the vehicle will have to be jacked up on stands anyways for the creeper to work. Personally I think it would make a killer garage "recliner", if it had a cup holder.

I could see that being used in a production environment or even a special vehicle service shop. I hope the guy makes millions.

This device could be the difference between working on vehicles for 10 or 20 years before crippling oneself (knee~hip~ shoulder repair/replacement), to a lifetime of spinning wrenches for a paycheck. Has nothing to do with laziness. It is a brilliant concept and I'm willing to bet once these guys get their investor(s) in line they are going to be very wealthy. If they can make their $1000 price point you'd have to be an idiot not to own/use one in the auto/truck trades. This is a multi-million dollar idea that I wish I had.

Every creeper I've used I've had to put the vehicle on jack stands. That's a pointless argument. I think it's cool but probably pretty expensive.

Ask yourself if it would be less stress on your joints to kneel down, put the jack stands (four of them) in place, jack up the car and then get underneath it to work, or have an assist device to pick you up with each movement.

For the DIY guy it is a luxury. I'm willing to bet it's only a matter of time before OSHA says everyone in a shop with more than 10 techs must have/use one.

+1! Ive been using a big piece of cardboard as a creeper for years. Water heater and big screen tv boxes are perfect. The wheels on creepers get caught on everything, and you lose a couple of inches of height.

Not being as spry as I once was this looks great, working on the floor on a creeper is ok except for running over stuff and working standing up is fine - but the transition from one to the other surely looks like the monkey and the football doing it and is very difficult, but a 2 or 4 post lift would probably be a better investment. But I would sure like to give one a try for a while.

Last time I used a creeper I wound my hair up in one of the wheels. Couldn't move without pulling out hair. Laid there yelling til my wife came out and cut my hair from around the wheel. Creeper has not been used since.

I actually watched the show and they were starting to get investors interested. As some mechanics really interested in buy some. I cannot remember the name of the show but they help people get investors for their inventions

Thought that I was the only one that did that. Before I got a "real" job, that was the standard for getting a haircut. When my hair got wound up in the creeper wheels it was time to get it cut.

LOL - great creeper. However, this is why I painted the floor and hung the creeper on the wall for decoration. I'm too cheap to buy something like that. But if someone had physical impairments that kept them from enjoying working in the shop, that would be a great thing to have.

How did you come up with this? :wtf: I'm trying hard to see what logic you used to get that from "for the everyday person", but I just don't get it. Should he have specified "non handicap person"? My God man, get ahold of yourself. If he'd have used the phase "for normal people" you'd have probably stroked out. Quit looking for offense where none is intended or implied. If that upsets you perhaps the internet isn't the place for you.

Since everybody else understood what I meant in my post and didn't take any offense to it, it's clearly obvious you misunderstood what I posted. I accept your apology and have a nice day.
