For the everyday person, I think it's pure laziness. When somebody has the problems of bending over and getting up or down from a creeper, I think it's great.

Oh ya, its hilarious when a physically challenged person or older person who still enjoys working on stuff has troubles getting up or down from the floor or bending over an engine to do something.

Unless you have some other meaning behind your obscene post, you are a jackass. If you mean something else, my apologies

:wtf: Where the hell did all of that come from and what was that about? I surely don't think Nutts was poking fun at anyone.

I could see where someone would buy it for a novelty item or where someone would buy it that could actually use something like that.

One thing about Nutts, from what I have seen out of him and his postings, he's not the type of person to poke fun at someone for having a disability of some sort. You ToolStools on the other hand sir are running with some sort of a short fuse. I'm one of the people that could benefit from something like that, but I never once thought Nutts was calling me lazy. And myself, I know a lot of lazy people that would buy one just so they wouldn't have to work any harder than necessary to get up off of a creeper.

NOW........On the OTHER HAND, I thought I had saw this in Griot's catalog, but I can't find it. I need to know if someone else has saw it or know what catalog it may have been in.

It's not as elaborate as the electric creeper but what this is, is a stool you stand on. There is a frame that slides under the vehicle, then like maybe one step up to the platform. Then there is a frame that goes up and across the front with padding. It is adjustable. And what it's used for is working under the hood of your vehicle or mainly a truck that allows you to lean on the cushion while standing on the stool. It won't slide out from under you like a standard stool can. If I remember right, the price was maybe like $249.

I looked through Griots online and couldn't find it, and I don't know if I have a Griots catalog around right now. Anyone have any idea?

I've seen those creepers somewhere too Kevin, not sure where but I thought in a catalog that I had at one time. I've never had a Griots so I know it wasn't them. . . maybe

Summit Racing
Northern Tool
Tool Crib

The only ones that I can think of off hand. :dunno:

You can eliminate ToolCrib. I've seen them too and I only get Summit and Northern Tool.

I think Summit is close enough for Kevin to road trip and check one out before buying it. He can also take momma and get a good meal as there's a Cracker Barrel about 5 minutes east of Summit on I76 at StRt 44.

If you can’t use a regular creeper you probably would have a real problem getting all four wheels up on jack stands.
It is a neat idea, but hoists are getting so cheap I would wonder if there is a market.

Thanks NUTTs for your articulate explanation. I ruined my knees on a cold concrete floor and cheap creeper working on a '60 Austin Healey years ago...I wish I had one of those for sure. I'm working on buying a 4 post drive on now so I can continue my hobby.

What if you were distracted talking to someone or something and you thought you were clear of the vehicle and hit the lever to raise it and put the side of your head into a rusty running board bolt?

Everyone has done that. Everyone has done that more than once. Who will be the first to sue? You? probably not. Me? No, because it will be too expensive, but someone will kill themself with this thing.
