Well, except the mice, which the cat's keep at bay, I only see the normal things here like free range chickens, deer, bear and such.

I got a bird nest in my wall...I was running the shop vac over by it, and all the sudden a bird came flying out of the wall at me. Had to leave the roll up door open all night to get it out.

I made a set of wooden plugs to go into the glove openings of my blast cabinet after twice being stung by bees that decided, of all places, this is where it's happening. Found bird nesting materials in there as well.

I'll be sealing my gloves up after reading this..I get plenty of wildlife coming in to see whats up....No bears however!

Worst was spending an hour or so asking a big skunk to take a hike.... it was a real slow easy deal for sure... lots of tossing real small rocks in areas behind him to caox him to move towards the open door.

Found this alligator lizard in my garage this week, strange to find in the Pacific Northwest.

How about a Wild Turkey in the driveway? There was actually a whole family with 14 Turklettes but I only caught this one on camera:

I had a fox that used to run past mine last summer. He never got into the garage. But he would wait until he thought I wasn't looking and then cross right in front of my place. He did that almost every night at the same time. Right before dark.

What a terrible problem to have...

They wandered across our driveway and into the neighbors yard, who have a couple of Jack Russell's. It was pretty funny to hear the dogs go "Ki-Yi-Yi" back to the house after they chased the turkeys and the turkeys turned on them.

Even better, my daughter had a boyfriend in High School who tried to catch one of them (they've been around for years). He had much the same experience as the Jack Russell's, but it was a LOT funnier to see him running for cover!!!

Birds nesting in a body shop isn't a good thing - crappin' all over new paint... I ended up starting a car and letting it idle in the closed up shop for about 20 minutes. They didn't like the exhaust, found ways to get out of there - and they haven't been back since. Word gets out among them, too...
And, I've got a black snake that calls the shop home. Haven't seen any mice at all... Nice snake, nice snake...
PS
None of the birds died in the shop either, they all found their way out...

I had a possum move into my rag box once. He stayed for several days and I had to walk within inches of him to get into my car. I finally left the door open one night, the lights on and the radio blaring. An hour later he was gone.

I get stupid birds in my garage - especially blue jays. They fly in the open door, then can't figure out how to leave. Now, the door is for two cars, so there's plenty of daylight for them, but they go on top of the open door and flap around in desperation. I've found that if I open the side entrance door, they'll go out that way sometimes.

So far I've had a bird, a cat, and a dog invade my garage. The bird died after I tried numerous times to get it out. I ended up finding it in a shop cabinet I took apart and stored in one of my soffit cabinets.

As far as outside, I have seen dogs, cats, deer, snakes, and a peacock. No turkeys or chickens surprisingly enough since there are several farms around us and it's a rural area.

I had a squirrel get into the shop bathroom and clawed at the window frame trying to get out, he got out somehow, but not through the window. Had a skunk come in through an open overhead door, and didn't know he was there until it was closed. Heard scuffleing noises and looked out the window in my office door and saw him pacing back and forth. Luckily I could crawl out of a window and prop the door open til he left.

I have a good friend (Bill) that called me one Saturday obviously excited. Seems he was in his shop with the overhead door open working on his Jeep when he heard something behind him. He turned around to see a very large pit bull standing in the doorway growling.

Bill had never seen this dog before and actually lives in a rural area, so thought it very odd to see a strange dog on his place, especially being agressive. He reached inside his Jeep and pulled out a 40 cal and as he turned back toward the dog... he couldn't believe his eyes... the dog was charging toward him!!!!

Bill shot "bang"... but the dog continued it's charge. "Bang" another shot... and he thought... "am I missing?" On the 3rd shot just feet away, the dog finally turned around and retreated back out of the door.

Bill cautiously advanced to the doorway and watched the dog run several hundred feet toward the road... stop... then lay down and expire.

I have known Bill for years and have never heard him so shook up.... he just could't imagine why this strange beast would come inside his shop and be so agressive. He didn't like shooting this animal... but he shuddered at the thought of how this would have turned out if he hadn't had his pistol handy.

So long as you didn't directly approach it, the skunk wouldn't have cared. If it was stamping it's paws, then you'd need to defenestrate yourself. You might not have known it was there, but it definitely knew you were, and still came in anyhow. So long as you don't startle or scare them, skunks are good people.

I live in a high desert community, very rural and am continuously chasing all manner of wild life out of my shop. Folks here feed the deer and they are almost tame, stopped migrating and lost their fear of humans and dogs. Now cougars, bears and coyotes are starting to show up for easy meals. Despite fish and game peoples advice they continue to feed the critters. I can't leave the big door up for long before they start moving in. It's a bad idea, let nature be. I've had run ins with deer, Elke, a lynx and coyotes. I'm tempted to start packing heat again just incase one of these critters mistakes me for a meal.
Rant over.

A cat found her way into my garage, I tried to chase her out but she just stayed and now has a permanent home. She is now the family pet and we call her "Hot Rod".

ONLY cat I have ever liked, she comes when I call her and keeps the mice out of the garage. She acts just like a well trained dog.

I would check the laws in your state. It might be illegal to feed them. People might be less likely to feed them if they knew it was illegal.

A friend of mine had a cougar in his back yard in Boulder, CO. They said squirrels were attracted to the bird feeders and the cougars were attracted to the squirrels.

An acquaintance of mine had a similar experience.

As I heard the story, he was in his own driveway working under the hood of one of his cars. He looked up and saw a neighbors' large pit bull watching him. He inched over to the wall and picked up a baseball bat just as the animal charged. He had time for one swing, caught the animal in the head. The dog padded home where it died.

Caused a big ruckus with the neighbor. Police were called.
