Another 2 post lift

Hello all!
I finally am getting my garage built, and I looking at two post lifts. Specifically I want a lift capable of a 1 ton truck. Everything I have read says 12K and I am contemplating the AMGO OH-12S. I had two 4' squares poured 12" thick in the floor for a lift and I have 14' walls. Any suggestions? I have not seen many lifts in the 12k weight that are short enough for 14' walls.

Up to 8500lbs empty, DRW and a diesel gets heavy, I'd want a 12K at a minimum.

I lift 1 tons with my 10k all the time. 12k would be better, but that what I've got.

I lifted my old F350 dually crew cab pickup on my 10k BendPac a number of times without issue.

It did make me nervous, and would have been nice to have longer arms, though. Typically I only lifted the dually high enough to comfortably do brakes, wheel bearings, and tires.

I suspect a 12k lift might have longer arms, but never checked that.

Wise observation that there's more to a lift than just its stated weight capacity. There might be other good reasons to want a larger lift.

I've used an Amgo OH-12S almost daily for the last few years for 3/4 and 1 ton pickups. No issues with the lift, I just wish the arms sat a little higher when on the top locks. Might not be an issue for some people, I'm just over 6 ft tall and it can be annoying at times. I can walk under my 10K lift arms with no issue but the OH-12S puts the bottom of the lift arms about smack dab eye level on me.

My 10k lift is pretty stout compared to a lot of other 10Ks but the OH-12S is way beefier. Much more solid feeling when you have a crew cab long box diesel with a bale bed and a 9 million pound replacement bumper/grill guard hanging off the front. The longer three stage arms are ALMOST a must in my opinion too. Especially if you are going to be lifting earlier Ford Super Duties that have the long tall angle in the frame behind the cab.

Extra tall jack stands are a nice piece of mind also when you have that much weight wobbling around trying to hammer out wheel bearings, pull transmissions, differentials, etc.

Look at Atlas lifts.

Atlas and Amgo are both made by the same company last I knew (Peak I believe it's called) I've had and have been around plenty of Atlas lifts, that is why I wasn't scared to try an Amgo. Hell my current 10K Atlas even says Amgo on the door bumper pads (bought the lift new)
