After posting a picture in the Williams thread of a 9/32nds drive ratchet,I got curious to see if any of the other items I had purchased at this particular estate sale were odd. And I came up with this piece:
It is a ratchet that is designed to be put into an extension on either end and is stamped,"USAF J O Mfg. Co Southgate Calif. Size I Spec- 50482 Pat. Appl'd"
The gentleman whose estate was being sold was a retired Air Force person whom I am assuming worked on aircraft as there were a fair amount of tools including a 1/4"(I think,I'll have to check)Snap-On speeder handle and some sockets that looked to be for large size Dzus fasteners and a couple of smaller sized Plomb sockets of the same variety;a;though these may have been for Cam-Loc or Air-Loc fasteners as the tips are square rather than rounded..
Haven't done much research on the name but am wondering if anyone has an idea of the time frame this item may have been produced.
