OK; one of my openers has a purple "learn" button, and a symbol that looks like a "wi-fi symbol) manufacture date 2005.
the other opener has a red learn button. manufacture date 2000
These are still in their packages, never opened; but when I bought them I thought they were "all the same" as long as all was Chamberlain. I have recently found out "not quite".
Both openers are up, adjusted and working fine. just gotta extend the bell wire about 10' on the opener for the "far door".
I have (2) 953 D, 3-button remotes and a 940D keyless entry, and reading the back of the packages it says they will work on all Chamberlain with that wi fi symbol on it and all with a purple button. It doesn't say that it "won't" work on the red button one, though/
In a trip to Menards they have a 3 button remote that says it will work on operators with 3 or 4 different color buttons, covering both of my openers, I'm probably looking at buying a couple of those.
2 questions; WILL these remotes work on both my operators,
if not, anyone here interested in them? Might even trade what I have, for/towards the "right stuff"
