Hello all, does anyone know if there will be another group buy on the MaxJax lift? I read in another post that there might be sometime in July (2010). I would be interested in purchasing one if there is. Any others??

Anyone, like me, part of that first group buy? That was hilarious. So many people went to sign up that it crashed the system (reportedly). LOL

Can you remind us all or link us to the thread as to how it all went down and what the final out the door cost was.

I've wanted a MaxJax since it was introduced, but don't want to pay the retail price on it. I would be interested in a group buy!

I think it's in China. If it really bothers you, you'll have limited choice in lift. Mohawk is the only one I know it's fully made in USA.

Thanks for the information. I'm not interested in a lift made in China.

Hey All, I'm a new poster but have been lurking for a long time.

Thanks for the head's up! I just placed my order with Rudy. He was very nice and got back to me superfast and answered all of my questions. I paid a little extra for lift gate service but seeing as I don't have anything to get it off the truck, I think it was money well spent. I'm still saving close to $250 off of Northern Tool's price.

Now I will need to start a post about my garage floor to get the lift installed...

Thanks Rudy!

How much extra did the lift gate service cost?

I'm signing the closing papers on the new house in the next couple days. I know what I'm buying for the new garage :)

Gents,

The liftgate fee is $100.00, or you can pick it up at a local freight terminal for freeeee..

Thanks for the clarification . . . This will sound retarded but I am going to ask anyways.

If I don't pay for lift gate service, its not like I can't take each piece off the truck one at a time just to get the mother off right? :headscrat

After eyeing this lift for 3 yrs I finally have the financial resources to buy one and I'll be calling in my order on Monday! It ***** that the price for this lift seems to keep increasing every couple of months but oh well I guess it keeps its resell value I guess... Not that I'll ever sell it. I hope there is a good stock of these because I've notice they keep going on back order at northern tools. I can't wait to get this in.

Hi All,

I went by Danmar and met with Rudy ts afternoon. He was nice enough to take me back and let me see one of the lifts assembled and bolted down to the floor before placing my order. It looks like it'll be a great tool for working on my cars. Thanks for the group buy being put together and I look forward to installing this lift in my garage.

Thanks,
Joel

Just got a call from Rudy saying that the Group Buy price was reduced to $1,800, so he adjusted my price proactively. :D

Even better, he said that the lift will ship today, instead of 3 months out. Awesome!

How's that for customer service? Now I need to get crackin' on my garage floor...

Holy ****! I was going to hold off a little longer to get this but at $1800 shipped, I don't think I can come up with enough reasons not to!

I ordered mine on the 30th for $2000 shipped (got liftgate service). I woke up this morning with a message from Rudy, saying my order has been reduced $100 because of the new group buy price. If the lift is near as good as the customer service, I'll be a happy guy.
