Fluids can get thru the joints between the tiles if the fluid isn't wiped up right away. But the time it takes to get thru depends on the viscosity of the fluid and how long it is left there.Looks nice. Can fluid get between or under the plates?
You can have studded tires in Alberta? Around here we can't have them because they say the studs tear up the roads. When I was a kid we could use them, but laws have been passed since then that prohibit the use of studded tires.Car? I'm parking a 9000lb F350 with 36" tires on it, and studded tires in the winter. Lol (laying down puckboard strips for the studded tires)

Hi
I too have some big trucks with aggressive treads that I drive all winter long, in addition to snowmobiles occasionally pulling in

Here is a short clip of the truck wheels turning on the RD
Sorry about the really lame background music![]()
Your floor looks great... How hard is it to keep clean? I had a plastic tile floor before (not a racedeck system) and it was hard as hell to keep looking nice with all the dust here in Texas...
Also does it buckle up when the sun hits it? The sun here in Texas made mine (not a racedeck system) buckle due to expansion...
if you damage one tile, do you have to start at an edge and remove all tiles until you get to the damaged one?
also, can you use a jack on that?
does it sound like cardboard when you walk on it?
Great looking pattern and color choice.
Curious why you decided to go with the solid tiles as opposed to the free flow? From the threads I've read, people that live in snow prone areas go with the free flow to allow the slush to drain through the tiles.

Your floor looks outstanding! Nice work.
I just purchased a new home and hoping to install RaceDeck Free-Flow tiles within the next few months. I just started playing around with the designs on their website. Cool stuff.

^ when you use the cheaper style angle iron jack-stands as opposed to the one that have base plates in them ( ex craftsman, snap-on, et) the can leave an impression and even act like a cookie-cutter on not only modular flooring, but also VCT and PVC tiles... They are also known to chip paint & epoxy. When you take a total rough surface area of say 1/16th" or less and put a 3,000-10,000 lb load it can even scratch/chip raw concrete. Simple solution is any small metal or wood square under it.
So, you're saying that your floor jack is indenting on your Racedeck and you want to put something under it?Looking to resolve this exact problem on my LOVELY Race Deck floor. Need a good solution for under my floor jack...not sure thickness or material to use. Steel 16 Gauge 24x36, Aluminum 1/4" 24x36, Combo of other material? Open to suggestions...Thanks in advance.

I would start with 1/8" aluminum and see how it holds up.
Thanks man, I read through quite a bit of your thread before I did this.![]()
Do you have any left over tiles from your floor? Use those, or a piece of plywood 1/2"+
