The wrenches are some of the best I've held. I mic'ed the open end shanks and using the 17mm as an example, the opening was 17.12mm from inside face to inside face (most of the wrenches were very consistant in this .12-.14mm range). My Crafstman Professional Series long reach open end 17mm mic'ed at 17.21mm and most of the Craftsman wrneches varried between .12-.24mm in variation. Neither had ever been used at that point. I don't know if that variation really means that much to you, but it sure says a lot to me about the precision of the Toptul wrenches. now I'll have to mic them again in a year and see how they stand after some use. They also feel very good in the hand. Very well balanced and the finish is absolutely flawless, as good as I've ever seen.
As for the long reach plier handles, I like them. I'm not really sure how to rate them because they're not really much different than anything else I've used. The only pliers that I own that have handles that I'd say are "raveable" are my MACs which I love. The MACs have the harder, cushion type grips with a non porus texture. They're very easy to clean and easy on the hands.
The Toptul grips are also very easy on the hands, but I can't attest to cleaning proceadures since I haven't really had time to put them to much use.
Mike was more than happy to answer all of my questions and never once seemed to be annoyed or bothered by my e-mails or phone calls. Don't hessitate to ask him whatever you need to know. I'm sure he knows that once he eases your skepticism and you place your first order, the tools you receive will speak for themselves making your next transaction that much easier.
