I've done exhaustive searching and research on both set's of cabinets, but I'm interested in other opinions. I'm having the floor done as I type. I wanted polished concrete but was advised against it, so we are doing a "metallic epoxy." I have an approximately 25 foot back wall where I'm planning on adding lower cabinets/tool storage with counter-tops and uppers flanking a 65" Panasonic Plasma.
Don't get me wrong, either option will be a dream. I've had a major hankering for quite some time for Lista cabinets. My perception is that it doesn't get any better. Now, keep this in mind, I have absolutely no use for drawers that can hold 500 lbs. Much like I have no use for a 911, but I still want those ridiculously awesome cabinets. I'm still not sure how much more a similar design will cost compared to Moduline, but I was told by my local Stanley rep that it may not be as big of a difference as I think. He intends to come by my house when he is in town, so we'll see.
Now Moduline, in my opinion, actually "looks" better. I thought this was kind of funny. Moduline actually uses Lista in their production facility. Their cabinets are clearly not as study, but I'm certain they will be more than sturdy enough for my use. I've put together a mock up that came to about $19,500. I'm assuming I can negotiate a little better deal, since I'm spending so much. Shipping isn't cheap for this stuff, so maybe I can get it included with a few percent off. So let's say I can get Moduline shipped to me for around $17,000, I'm guessing Lista is going to around $25,000 for something similar. I wonder if it going to be worth, in my case, an additional $8,000.
Knowing this bit of background, your input is much appreciated.
