Hi guys, what a great site!
Having just retired, I'll be adding a shop to the back of our house to store some woodworking equipment as well as a hoist. I'm certain that this site will prove to be a valuable asset throughout that process. Yesterday I spent about three hours just totally absorbed in the different threads.
A couple of years ago we added a 12 x33 garage to side of our existing two stall, and it has turned into our rec room, so the new addition will have to be more functional.
Here is a plan for the new addition:

As you will see, access will be by driving through the garage pictured below. It's kind of different (weird might be a better term) but there is no other way to access it.

might have some not so kind comments.
. Thanks for looking.
As I was looking at the photos I started to look at the sheet rock work and realized that the height of your garage is somewhere around 16 plus feet high at the peak. Am I right?? Looking at the construction pictures from the outside you can't really see that until you look at it from the inside. Is the only access to the larger garage through the old one? I was just wondering. Any way it's a great space and you've done it up right.
