Just found the thread......great space......love the stacked stone foundation along the back and sides.

In a response to a much earlier question regarding roll up doors, I can offer the following:
I used metal rollup doors on my shop, and as they roll up on the axle they only intrude approximately 24" into the space depending on the door height. These can be purchased with foil insulation installed. Because they roll up, they will not block any overhead lighting when opened. The downside is a lower R value than sectional doors (IMO), and they are somewhat industrial in appearance.

A sectional door could interfere with a car on the lift unless as stated earlier they either go straight up or hug the ceiling.

Just found this thread. You are doing a fine job of preserving the character of a very good building. Timber frame, 6 over 6, and the details say circa 1850. Is the house still standing? I lived in central NY for 30 years and took a great interest in Greek Revival architecture, owned a very fine one myself. Subscribed!

For a space that size I would think about more than on compressor.
Wire is easier to run than pipe.
Think about what you are going to doing at each location and the amount of air needed.

IE: At the work bench for blowing dirt and dust off stuff and maybe an occasional impact wrench a small $100.00 unit may be cheaper than running pipe from the big unit you need for sandblasting at the other end of the shop.

And remember, the big ones are noisy.

Looks great! I know how much work it is to fix up these old buildings. Nothing is square or straight. Keeping the character is difficult depending on how far gone they are. I got my house for a song. It was early 1800's barn that had been converted to to a house sometime in 1850's then "remodeled" in 1940's. Lot of work and I applaud you for saving it.

the space on the left is my wife's space. Its mainly for storage of pool furniture until a poolhouse is built. Ill post a pic of the tracks soon.
