Antique Blackhawk Floor Jack 4 ton

I have an old jack in need of overhaul. it is largely complete, except for the headlight lens. I believe it is a model S4, and is not working. I believe it needs the cylinder overhauled. Wanted to know if others had experience with restoring these, and what is the cheapest source for quality parts. I was also wondering if any knew how the headlight was turned on and off, and where the battery was located. Also what is the slot on the tip of the handle that looks like a key slot? The battery compartment was in the handle at the top, I have been unsuccesfull in finding replacement lens as then tend to yellow over the years. I have rebuild many of the S-4/SJ-4 series jacks and can suppy you a kit if required, although its not a normal stock item and normally i can put you touch with a cheaper supplier to keep from double handling the shipping. There used to be a replacement wire package i could aquire to make the light work again via a switch that was also on the handle. Ive ordered a few in my time and honestly it looked like something you could make yourself with a trip to the hardware store. The main issue with the light system is the battery compartment and cleaning/replacing the connections so you you can power up the light, The lighting system is no more than a flashlight with a switch.

Timely discussion. I have a ~20 year old Snap-on 2 ton jack YA642 which I believe is also a Blackhawk. Do you have 'kits' that are used to refurbish a jack like this? Also if there is a kit are there some instructions avaiable to work through the rebuild. This jack works good and holds but it seems to be getting weak, which I assume is the bypass giving up to soon. Can you answer here or we could take this offline if you prefer.

Ya642 is a Walker designed jack, Not Blackhawk. I do have rebuild kits in stock for those jacks along with detailed exploded view diagrams. Here is a breakdown that will be similar to yours.
