Hey tool buddies! I have a couple of old Mac boxes my grandfather used to use that are sitting around doing nothing. I was thinking of taking the older looking of the two old Mac boxes and having it restored and using it as an overflow box until I get a locker and side boxes for my epiq. Do any of you know what year this box is, and if I'm able to get a lock for it? I asked my old MAC guy and he had no idea. Thanks guys!

60's- early 70's era. It should be stamped on the back or sides with a date and model number. I doubt if mac will have any info for you. A modern lock will fit, just have to take some measurements and narrow down the style.

Is it 33" or 27" wide?

That's what I figured. Those are earlier versions of their classic MB520 (27") and MB920 (33") boxes. Cool that you have the pair.

Nik....I have three boxes like the one in the second picture. I purchased them between 1975 and 1979, but mine have MAC in each chrome handle, so yours must be older than that. I wanted all my boxes keyed alike and my Snap On dealer was able to provide SO locks that fit the MAC boxes. You might try Snap On also.
