Yeah, I would not waste time or money on thinner pegboard or smaller hooks. I picked up some used 1/4" pegboard and "wallpapered" it with 1920's engineer book pages, then used 1/4" pegs used from ebay to hang my tools. This was just after I finished papering it, I have a few more common tools on it now.

I have a '72 Chevy truck grill hanging in my shop too :D

New workbench location, gives better access to the Kennedy 526 woodworking box.. Did some pegboard Tetris to work in the space and added recent HJE purchases..

I'm in the process of getting everything organized in my new shop and I'm doing everything mechanical in boxes and all my woodworking on pegboard and displaying vintage woodworking tools high with pegboard. Good thread with a lot of help for organizing.

Here is what I have, I try to put things on pegboard that do not stay organized well in drawers. I was still hanging up tools when I took that pic.

I did some pegboard Tetris and made a screw driver rack out of poplar to better organize the space..

I'm definitely going peg board in my shop once I get the house remodel done. My tool box is over flowing with tools.

I'm waiting to find the headlight surrounds at the junkyard so I can install some speakers in it. I have a '53 Chevy grille on the opposite wall with speakers installed in it already. :rocker:

I use one, I like to have some stuff easy to grab. Everything else goes in my box.

Pegboard above my workbench down one wall

DIY slatwall (3/4" Plywood strips) down the other which will hold anything you could think of - cabinets, heavy items, etc

Harbor freight . get the heavy ones with the locking nubb or *** . They dont fall out .

I have 16 ft. of pegboard and use it all . All box end and ratchet wrenches on pegboard free up a whole drawer .

All cutters free up another . Love the stuff .
