K&N filters require a lot of maintenance. The oil soak gauze is an absolute dirt magnet. I would guess you would have to clean it and re-oil it at least once a month if not more.I was wondering if any of you is using a K&N filter for your compressor or have thought about it? Any downside? I am thinking that it would make it easier for future maintenance.

Once a month, what the hell you doing in there?
I run K&N on everything, for many years, Silverado, Harley, compressor, lawn mower, never ever had a problem. The problem with K&N is people using too much oil on the filter element.Thats gonna cause the MAF problems, and **** collecting on it.
While I am remaining neutral on this issue I must ask.
If the **** isn't collecting on the filter is it not passing through it?
