I know many of you were excited about seeing the black and blue Channellock (GripOn re-brand) locking pliers that were posted in this thread recently. A couple more were just posted for sale on Ebay, still in the original packaging. I am not the seller, and I don't know the seller in case you are wondering. I just thought some of you Channellock lovers/collectors might want the heads up. There are 2 sets available for $40 each plus shipping.

They are also listed in the classifieds section on this site for a few dollars cheaper than ebay from the same seller! ;)

National Hardware show and it looks like Channellock is coming out with some USA screwdrivers. Probably outsourced, but USA at least. I want some. Got this pic from their Facebook page.

Channellock told me they plan to have them released by the fall of this year.

Given the handle style they look like they could be made by Pratt Reed, Western Forge, or possibly Wilde.

I had been hoping they would've gone w/the same manufacturer as the new Mac and new Proto screwdrivers...that would have been awesome!

Those screwdrivers you are referencing are made down the road from me in Kershaw SC. Next time I'm in the area, I'll take a pic of the MAC sign in front of the building.

I must have 50 pair in all styles and sizes. I buy them used and find most of the for under $3 and $5 to $7 for the 15 inch pump pliers. I think they are great. I have been using them for 50 years. Another good brand if you find them used is Diamond. Top flight tools. They really are great. I have never broken or bent one in 55 years of farming and construction. I have a few Craftsman I they are not as good. I would never spend money on any form a tool truck. I would rather put the money in the bank.

Channelock are great tools. Can't beat them.

Yep, I really dont want deep drawers.
2'', 3'' will do fine
4's are kinda wasted space, with 'showcasing' this collection would be

I believe the older NOS stuff is better quality. I've got a few pieces that I have both NOS and new and the NOS is a little thicker in some cases and just overall seems better. The NOS stuff has Channellock, Made in USA and the part # engraved into the tool whereas the newer stuff is just stamped....See the picture below of a pair of #426. The bottom is the newer pair and the top is NOS pair...

The newer Channellocks are laser etched with the number, the older ones were stamped or engraved.
