Definitely gotta go with A. Those are the stuff I won't touch. Wonder why they couldn't make room in meadville for an adjustable wrench line? Their locking extension cords though, I'd love my some of those.

I ditto the above.. I've got more than enough (or maybe just right?) adjustable wrenches from US makers, but might consider strongly buying another set (gifts for son, etc.) if CL made their adjustable wrenches in the USA.. I suspect the forging would be a snap in their PA location, just need the specialized machining and plating capability. Same goes for locking pliers; I have plenty of US made Vise Grips and picked up a set of Diamond locking pliers at an antique shop for $4.50 over the weekend tool (awaiting warmer weather so I can pegboard Tetris them in); so I'd probably buy more if they were made in the USA.. I've not seen any of the USA made screw/nut drivers, but will probably purchase some when I see them, and replace some old/worn out ones I have "in service" now if / when I do.

Got these NOS Channellock's in the mail today. Instead of the blue or white pouch, these come in paper envelops which is cool.....#307, #3147, #718.

I love my Channellock pliers. I have quite the assortment of them and they all get lots of use. I prefer them although I do have some Snap On and Knips as well. The Knips didn't hold up as I thought, I bought a pair of long handled side cutters that were nice at first but they're real loose now and the handles are chipping. I do not like the wider handles some companies are going to which is why I stick to Channellocks and they're made in the USA.

Amazing. I would never be able to keep it so clean and organized though. This is the definition of tool ****.

That is possibly the most interesting tool "collection" I've seen. Kudos and jealousy from here.

What is the advantage of keeping them in their original packaging? I'd think that they're be tougher to access. Or perhaps you like to keep them unopened kinda like toy collectors who keep toys in original packaging.

I don't believe there is a "advantage" to keeping them in the original packaging. I just like the way the packaging looks. Believe it or not, I do use them if need be.

;)

I also forgot to mention that I have a 5 year old son that all of these will be going to one day, which is another reason I like keeping the packaging.

haha! Time to get educated my good friend!

The locking pliers are made by Grip On which also makes them for Snap On and others brands, they are VERY high quality. Same applies for the adjustable wrench (not made by Grip On though).....HIGH quality set for sure!

Didn't know that...where are they made again? [emoji48] lol
I was sold on the channellock brand mainly because of their strong USA roots. The "Fiercely made in Meadville" slogan sells me every time. So it's not a quality issue for me but rather I associate channellock brand with "here". Not Spain and not Taiwan which is where I think they make the wrenches, mechanic sets and lights and such. I've heard from others the code blue crescent wrenches are the best...but I'd rather stick to my USA made crescent. Other tool brands I don't Care as much where they're made.
That is a nice set though. Ps I've been growling at all of you're nos pliers for the past week, with severe hatred and envy lol.
