Shocking, but true, the other day at Home Depot, I saw a couple of Channel Locks Made in Taiwan. Not sure if they are about to send themselves fully offshore. :(

Yikes!!!!! Are you sure??? Was it a pair of their "bread and butter" pliers like the 420 or something like that? I gotta see it to believe it.

There are no Channellock pliers made in Taiwan. Not one . You were looking at Crescent or Milwaukee. All the pliers are made in the USA in PA. I own a bunch in various styles. All USA and all tough

What are your guys opinions on Channellock brand adjustable wrenches?

I know they're made in Spain (which is fine by me, better than China, etc.) I am looking at getting the Black phosphate coated "NW" wide jaw series in a 6,8,10" sizes.

They are some of the best out there. My personal favorites are the Craftsman made by Western Forge. Same as the SK adjustables. But someone will post after me and say th Channellock ones are the best. As with just about any tools it's personal preference.

They are bar none the best ones anyone makes. I have some of these and some of the afformentioned WF Craftsmans.

So do you have pics or just trying to stir the pot? Their mechanics tools are Taiwan made and the Code Blue screwdrivers are China and the adjustable wrenches are Spain. ALL PLIERS are USA made and made by Channellock. Everything else is made by another company. So are you talking about any of the stuff I listed or pliers?

They weren't the Channel lock pliers. I did notice on the pliers, though they are made here, they still have the Proposition 65 warning

Not all Channel lock products are made in the states just the pliers

So what were they? Sure sounds like you were saying they were Taiwan. I just stated what they don't make in the USA and none of those are sold at Home Depot. Only Channellock products sold at Home Depot are pliers.

Ordered a Big Azz 480. Will complete my tongue and groove lineup.

I plan to buy two along with another 460. I don't know, I like having a pair in each size; all of the regular tongue in groove pliers arrogance doubles or triples. That said, I've fallen off of my Channellock binge after buying almost forty pairs earlier this year. Need to take an updated photo, but they're everywhere. Some are untouched, others getting a little scarred, and still others tucked in handy places for odd jobs like twisting a rusty vent on a fish fryer stand. I also found the v-jaws are excellent at busting a Master combination lock.

Right now I'm in a saving money and reducing debt mood. I'm sure a $100 order is around the corner, though. :)

We all know that. The guy that said he saw Taiwan made Channellock at home depot was just trolling. He back tracked and said it wasn't pliers he saw. But Home Depot only carries Channellock pliers and they are all USA made

Does Channel Lock make the extended plier version, like above in MagnumForce's last post / picture on the right of that tool drawer? I guess I'll pull up the CL catalog online and do some shoppin'....:rocker:
