Just bought a combo pair of Knipex off ebay. 10" diagonal cutters and 10" Craftsman badged Cobras for $55. They should be here sometime this week, I'm excited. I only have the mini bolt cutters, I wanted the diags the Cobras are just a bonus.

The Knipex were scheduled to be delivered the 28th but they showed up yesterday, the 25th. The seller included a note about recognizing me from GJ and sent along a bonus, 3 pc mini locking plier set from TSC. Tellingthem1 is his ebay name. Couldn't be happier.

Just bought my first pair of Knipex last week, a pair of snap ring pliers. I must say I'm really impressed with them and plan on adding more to the toolbox

Only have a pair of dykes, 7" Pliers Wrench, pair of needle nose and a pair of bent needle nose. I like them a lot, they're definitely great pliers, and I'll most likely go with only Knipex in my toolbox. I might eventually rival decaf, but we'll see.

I have dykes, a set of cobra, a set of needle nose, some snap ring pliers and a pliers wrench. Only used the pliers wrench so far (just bought all of that this month) but I'm liking what I've experienced so far

The mini bolt cutters are probably my favorite and have saved me a few times where no hand tool in my arsenal would have been of any use. They need a model using the same principle as their current ones, minus the center cut. This will be great for tight spots.

You can and I do, but unless your giving them a chemical bath some dirt just doesn't come off very easy.

I picked up all three sizes of the Cobras that Lowes carried when they were discontinuing them for cheap! My son-in-law was over working on one of his vehicles and needed some channel locks so I pulled out my Knipex when his were working and he was impressed to say the least. He went out and bought 2 sizes of the Cobras.

I absolutely love them! I spoke with them at SEMA for a while, told some people they were the best and they gave me a cool tool bag. I don't understand why people love the cobras so much. They are way better than channel locks, but the ratcheting "crescent" wrenches are the ****! I have a couple sets. I use them on nearly every wrenching project.

I love Knipex. So far I have the 10" PliersWrench and 10" Cobras as my go-to adjustable-wrench and channel-locks. I also have the 6" PliersWrench and 6" Cobras for when I want to carry smaller tools in my pocket all day. Lastly I have the 8" Linesman Pliers.

My next Knipex purchase may be the 10" Dikes (though I already have the Klein 8" Dikes and NWS Germany 8" Fantastico Dikes). That or the CoBolt compact bolt cutters since I hear so many good things from people who actually own them.

There are so many Knipex options. I have a 2013 Knipex catalog from a tool truck guy but buy mine from Amazon.com for best pricing. Also you can download the full catalog from http://www.knipex-tools.com/

Just *stood* on a 10" Cobra to break a rusted bushing loose on a motorcycle rear shock mount. I got the shock itself off by tearing the rubber part of the worn bushing, and all that was left was a bit of rubber on a metal ring that had become one with the mount stud. The Cobra broke it loose with no slippage.

Obviously Knipex Alligator pliers are slip-joint pliers available in different sizes. Are you guys looking for a 2-position slip joint? Knipex doesn't make those traditional slip-joint pliers. They prefer to innovate.

I used ones similar to these the other night adding a lighting circuit:

The ones I have are for AWG; they are German Knipex made for 14, 12, 10awg and not metric wire sizes. Just for that I had to get them. I would have preferred if they were VDE insulated but they don't offer that variety yet.

Item: 13 01 614 for the AWG version. I got my from ChadsToolbox.com


My NWS electricians cutters/strippers are for 1.5 and 2.5mm, and are just a little bit too small for 12 and 10awg; so I gotta be a little more careful when stripping insulation with those.

Wow, what a deal. I would love those but can't justify the full price. Cheap wire-strippers work well enough and I have some Wiha needle-nose pliers. I guess if I was a full time residential electrician I could justify buying the best.

5 Like new Snap-On pry bars for 2 bucks each.
Complete SK 3/8 metric socket set. Complete with shallow AND deep well, ratchet, extensions, universal, orig green metal box; used/stored in a kitchen drawer. $8.00
Nice Klein needlenose $3.00
Like new Channelocks $2 many times.
New Mac ratchet for $3.00
Etc.

But I've never, NEVER, seen any Knipex at a sale, and yeah, I get to them early.

I was looking/wanting a racheting crimper and thought it was a racheting crimper but i was wrong (i didn't read before purchasing)
This crimper gets the job done








Looking at back of the crimper, it has a silver bit that you can adjust for crimping 3 different terminal connector types

I'm a die hard Channellock fan, but I do own nine Knipex tools and will surely get a few more. Yes, they're a little pricey, but I can't say that I've ever been disappointed in their performance. The mini bolt cutters are my favorites and the most used Knipex tool in my box. I recently bought the pliers wrench. I haven't used it yet but like my other Knipex tools, it seems to possess the same high quality construction, fit and finish. I definitely like Knipex.
