:p I've started using Gorilla wire nuts and I'll be damned if they aren't the nicest things ever. I've been using them wiring my shop and I can't believe I ever used old style, rigid wire nuts. I wish they weren't so stupid expensive but I still love em. :thumbup:

They sell the larger red/yellow size at HD, I've since picked up the smaller size off of eBay. Pretty damn nice.

I never said I liked them, in fact I hate them too.
Rather than untwisting them I just cut the damn things off.
I seems like the body is disconnected from the spring when you try to untwist them.

I can't stand those wire nuts lol. Especially when you need to remove them from stranded wire

Tip...Give the scotchlok body a quick squeeze along the wings with lineman pliers before you try to back-off the wirenut or keep light even pressure with your lineman pliers along the wings as you remove the wirenut.

WoW!!! someone beside myself read the directions . Been using them for over 45 years . The 3M's that is .

I'v replaced so many flavor of the week push ins, I don't bother with them anymore for anything more than a ballast quick disconnect.

I will have to take a look at that gorillas nuts

I've tried both of these, along with heavy pressure along the wings.

No matter how hard as you squeeze, some times it just doesn't work.
