Anyone ever bought tools from Mister Worker?

I'm thinking about ordering some Stahlwille wrenches and was considering buying from this place. https://www.misterworker.com/en-us/
I was curious if anyone has ever purchased from them and how it went. Mainly I want to know if they do a good job packaging shipments so that they survive the trip from Europe to the US.

I ordered some Facom stubby metric ratcheting wrenches from them a few months ago. The items were well packaged and arrived after a couple weeks in transit. Overall the transaction went smoothly and my items arrived in an acceptable time frame with no issues.

I've recently ordered some USAG wrenches (same as Facom 440's but a bit less expensive) and circlip pliers from them shipped to Canada and all come well packaged.

Hot tip - create your profile and put the items you want in the cart but don't finish your checkout for a couple days, they'll email you a 5% discount code to nudge you along to complete your order.

I was just on their website the other day and almost pulled the trigger on a Stahlwille 3/4" drive set. The ad was misleading though, it said it was an 15 piece set, but the price was around $20. I didnt want to take the chance since it was coming from Italy I believe, so returning it would've been more trouble than it's worth. I'm sure it was just the box for that price, but that wasnt the only set they described that way.

If the ad actually is correct, I will be buying a few sets.

Ordered 4 Stahlwille ratchets off them, great price. I do have one complaint, as I was opening the boxes I was starting to curse. Not only was the cardboard boxes overly taped, the put 3-4 nylon bands on each box. Atomic bomb cores should be shipped by these guys. They communicate well by email as to shipping. Worry not

As to the impossibly low Stanley prices, I could not find them but Stahlwille had the same impossible prices on a few things. I went into there links, and it was for the tool cases, in the links it showed empty and filled price . I did not see the high discount prices I got around Christmas time.

Glad to hear they are good to order from. Now I have another question. How did you pay for your order? I tried using Amazon Pay and kept getting an error message when I tried to check out.

I had the same impression and like others when I clicked through, found that the price was for the empty box.

Be sure to look at amazon.de because Stahlwille wrench sets there can be exceptional deals. Whatever euro price is limited will be reduced by VAT of 17% (IIRC) which is significant.

Maybe I'll have to get back to using my Paypal account if that works.

I've bought from amazon.de in the past, but I'm reluctant to use them again. I had some issues with shipments getting lost and they seem to use flimsy packaging. My last order of a Hazet 916hp yielded me a paperboard envelope with a hole in it. They did refund me that time and took care of order issues I had another time. Still, I'm fine paying a little more from a place like Mister Worker if it means my 3-4 week wait gets me a set of wrenches vs. an empty box.

There is no VAT on exports, there was only a few dollar difference from tool price at website and exchange price on PayPal. Roughly $5 difference on a $188. order. Only thing to watch out for is ordering more then the maximum customs allows without applying duty tax, roughly $240 , I do not remember.

Some of the prices I paid, minus another sale code of 10% off........

Present prices a bit lower, but 10% off not offered.

A few years ago, the duty free limit for hand tools imported into the USA was raised from $200 to $800. Has this changed again?

Sorry, typo on my part. "limited" should be "listed".

So (at amazon.de) if you see 100 euro, your price will be 83 euro because you don't pay VAT. Prices on the amazon.de site include VAT. There is also a shipping/customs fee but it is very reasonable.

I haven't bought anything expensive enough to require a duty.

Examples of my buys (great deals IMO):

Stahlwille 96401010 15 piece type 14 combination wrench set: 81.13 euros delivered (about $96.50)

Stahlwille DBE deep offset wrenches 20/8 (metric 8 pc set): 57.55 euros delivered (about $64.50).

Had a little trouble on the type 14 set which never showed up. Amazon.de sent out a new one no problem - customer service was excellent. I had a thread on it if you care to read up on that process.

Ordered some Stahlwille sockets from this company, shipped and arrived within about a week (DHL). Well packaged.

10% discount on their already good prices for spending more than a certain amount (something like $200), which is not hard to do.

The feature where they offer both the replacement box and actual tool price for tool sets is a little irritating. They treat them as 'variations' of the same item, and you have to go into the item from the thumbnail view to see the 'real' set prices.

Will use again.

I finally bit the bullet and made an order that arrived today. The packaging was excellent. Heavy box with good taping and plastic bands. Pricing was good too and delivery time wasn't bad considering when I placed my order. I'm happy with them and will look to buy from them in the future.

Yes from USA. Great. Good prices on stahlwille. 10% off over 150 euro. Shipping reasonable via DHL. I used Amazon payment system through Amazon.de in checkout.

Yes, twice in the last two months. we got new equipment at work and I needed tools that were not common with our current equipment. I bought a set of Metric Stalhwille Spanners "wrenches" and received them in an timely manner, two weeks! even during this virus issue. the price and availability
were factors for my purchase with them shipping and tracking were spot on. Second was Facom 1/2 drive Metric socket set. both are awesome, top shelf
Tools. Hoop.

Maybe Mister Worker used to be good in the past, but recently, I ordered some hand tools, and they took money out of my bank account that same day very quickly. Its been a month now, and they have not shipped my order. I emailed them 3 times every week for the past 3 weeks. They completely ignored my emails until finally last week (3 weeks after my order) they responded by telling me to keep waiting due to coronavirus.
Horrible service. The worst I've ever experienced.
They might never ship my order, when they already took my money.
A lot of people are complaining about the same thing happening to them (feedaty.com/feedaty/reviews/misterworker).
It doesn't matter where you're from, Italy, USA, Germany, Etc...
Noone is getting anything from Mister Worker, after they took our money.

I took a chance at ordering from Mister Worker because I read some good reviews, and I saw people doing unboxing of their packages on youtube.
But, I am so sorry that I took that chance.
From what I heard, Mister Worker was good before, but today, they turned into the worst.
I'm writing this review so you won't have to go through this awful experience.

Pro tip: Spending the big bucks on stateside stocked products gets you your kit in an expedient manner. When you actually have work to do.

Enjoy your boutique purchases when you get 'em. :rocker:

Since they got beat up here at the end I thought I would mention i just had a package come from mister worker and everything went great. The website noted that one of the tools i was ordering had an up to 30 day lead time (don't know why but the confirmation email said 4 to 5 days, so maybe that's where issue come for people, the website definitely put 30 days as the high end on that one tool.) I ordered them on December 27 and they arrived here in Virginia on January 12.

I got this set of Stahlwille 14/17 (17 spanners) from primetools in the UK and it worked out cheaper for me

I have bought other stuff from them over the years and never any issues

We are subject to VAT in the UK

I just got an order filled from them. Like others have said, good prices but slow delivery. I received my shipment exactly 1 month from when I placed the order. Shipping was not bad and I paid with a credit card with no foreign transaction fees just in case they charged in euros.

I’ll order from them again but only if I am not in a hurry.

Shipping is in an absolute mess in some parts of Europe, there was a news piece this last week where there were areas in the UK that hadn't had any post delivered since before Christmas, pictures of mountains of mail bags piled up outside as they had run out of indoor space to keep it all.

They're probably a drop-ship website like JB Tools. If the tools are being shipped directly from Stahlwille (for example), and if Stahlwille is running limited shifts due to the virus (or has limited inventory), you can be waiting a while until your order ships.

That's the downside of doing business with websites that don't carry inventory versus websites that do keep inventory, like Jens Putzier. They will never let on that they operate that way, and which is why they won't reply to emails until they get an answer from the shipper (like JB Tools).

I will definitely buy from them again!

Late last year, when I received my initial package containing only the USAG bit ratchet set and a USAG RBRT hex bit set, I fired off an email to MisterWorker customer service. Within a day, I received a friendly email from an agent apologizing about my package missing the Facom 1/4" drive bit ratchet; and will investigate the matter. Less than 24 hours after the email, a package containing the Facom bit ratchet was shipped out. Great customer service!

For those in the UK, I recently bought a Facom SXE.J7MGRPPB set of extractors from Master Outillage in France. The postage charge was high, but they deducted French VAT (post Brexit), and UK customs didn’t charge UK VAT. So it arrived in 10 days for £120, compared to £180 from UK suppliers. And the packaging was lovely.
