Wondering if this product ever existed: 3/4 female, 1/2 male, chrome reducer.

yeah most 3/4" hand sockets have it. You push the pin and it pushes the lock on the male square drive.

I can't figure out how that would work. Usually the male square drive has the pin lock and the female square drive has a hole through it.![]()
It pushes the pin on the male to release`it so you can take it off without a screwdriver

"Loxocket"
Yet another concept invented by Blackhawk and regurgitated 80 years later by SO.
Per AA Snap on started with the "Loxocket" in 1937. They were stamped wit LIC#XXXXXX which was the license from Blackhawk allowing SO to use the "pushbutton" release. I have one of these 3/4 " drive sockets in my toolbox.
