Looking for opinions on this lift. Want to lift my service truck, 3500 series gmc, extended cab, 8 ft body, single rear wheels, has reading body on it, not freighted too bad:), probably weighs 8800 or so maybe 9000. Also want to lift cars and smaller pickups, doubt thats a problem What do you think of this lift and will it do what I want?

Walrus,
I do not have one, (YET) but I have been researching them quite a bit lately.
From what I have read and been told by te people that sell them, the 10-ACX is great for cars, but not really optimum for large trucks.

I have been told the 10-CX is the one you want for trucks, it is not asymmetrical and will allow you to load large trucks and distribute their weight more evenly, and it is only 2 inches narrower than the 10-ACX.

I have an MX 10C (the predecessor to the XPR 10C). I didn't go with the asymmetrical because the heavier trucks get kinda tippy with the rear weight. I think the extra width of the XPR 10ACX would be handy, I have to think thin to get in the door of some vehicles, but I'm comfortable with the posts being centered vs. being nervous about the heavy *** end of a truck like yours.

I've never had it even grunt lifting heavier loaded down pickups. Should be stout enough.

Just my 2 cents worth

Really? Seems I've seen at least two installs of this model in the past two or three months. One install I'm positive.

I've got the XPR-10CX and have posted much info about in the past, including my install experience and detailed pics of both dimensions and wall thicknesses of various components.

Here's an ACX install from February:

another from Feb but the last post in the thread was only about 12 days ago:

Not sure how you can have 3000+ posts and not know how to search?

Pictures of which I speak here:

Ive got XPR-10AC (the narrower one). I had a 3500 Chevy crew cab 8 ft bed with cap and didnt have a problem with it. The wider one would have been a little easier but I dont work on many trucks that big. My friend has a Forward brand lift and when he lifts his 2006 3/4 ton crew cab short bed diesel truck it strains, his lift is rated at 9000 and his truck is right about there.
I really like the lift and glad I got it. Like I said I dont work on too many big trucks so it doesnt bother me about the width and gives me a few extra inches in the garage.

Who cares about installs, I've installed many lifts, including hundreds of underground lifts in a past life . I want too know how one particular lifts works on heavy PUs or if folks that have a different style Bendpak how that model works on heavy PUs.

Cool thanks for the opinions, very helpful. I'll look at the 10 cx.

my neighbor has a new Bendpak but I haven't looked at it yet. He's lifting PUs on a regular basis, guess I;ll go find out what model he has.

I have one, and think it's great. Usually lifting cars, but have raised pickup trucks effortlessly.

I even had the skidloader on it last year, and it's close to 10,000 lbs.

I like the fact that they can be used both symmetrical or asymmetrical.
It took me quite a while to get used to not pulling a car in too far. I can get most every car on the lift, and still open the doors all the way.

On the heavier vehicles, such as your truck, I pull them forward farther, and they balance just fine.

Even with mostly cars, I still like the extra width. I even snuck the trailer through the posts, and raised it up to rewire.

I doubt that you would have any disappointments with this lift.
