Anyone know how to remove Huot drawers?

I picked up a 50-60 year old Huot machinists chest at a swap meet a couple of weeks ago. I'll post photos in a restoration thread, *however* before I can restore it I need to get the drawers out.
No luck so far. I've removed numerous old SnapOn drawers using a strip of corrugated metal down the center of the slides, but this Huot is not playing ball with the same trick. Is there some special twist to this I should attempt?

So, about a month ago, I got into a discussion in another thread about how to remove the drawers on Huot boxes. During which, I posted some pictures and discussed the steps I went through to by-pass the stops on the sliders in order to remove the drawers on one of the new(ish)(possibly 70's)...

Thank you. This helped a lot.
Now I need to find a replacement slide-- the bottom drawer has one slide that is somehow split down the middle almost half its length. Not sure if a couple of tack welds would do the trick there...
