Anyone modify there Canadian tire Tool cart?

This is my Canadian tire tool cart that I’ve modified into a 10 drawer cart. Bought two carts and combined them into one, turned out to be a pretty nice tool cart in the end. I’ll take a few more pics of it loaded with tools. Anyone else do this?

Yeah I agree, I looked at these in Canadian Tire and I'm 99% sure it's the HF 5 drawer cart re-badged.

There pretty close to the same wouldn’t says it’s a rebrand though. There all cheap Chinese carts so who knows there probably all made in the same factory

Nice cart mods, well executed, looks Factory. Like the wide flat drawer pulls.

Yeah that's what I mean. HF doesn't make tools, CT doesn't make tools, they just outsource everything and put their labels on it.

In this case I think they sourced the same carts.

I looked through that tread. Didn’t see anyone stacking 5 drawer carts, only one guy stacked two 4 drawer carts. https://www.garagejournal.com/forum/showpost.php?p=2903204&postcount=412

I guess its not very common to stack these tool carts.

There's actually two posters in that thread that wound up stacking the 5 drawer cart.

Here's one off the top of my head:

Can't remember who did this setup but totally like it. Was under this post or maybe the tool cart post , but awesome in my bookfb6cf5f7c9ced0c7ee427210dc8a8fc6.jpg8b5473e47720462f61336bfbeb61fbf3.jpg

That cart looks nice I like how he has his small drawers configured, I’m going to change mine to that configuration.

Nope. If you go in store and play around with it, there are some differences such as the paint finishing and how the drawers release. Trust me, I've got two former co workers. One of them has the HF 5 drawer and the other the Maximum one.

I have a red 5 drawer HF...I love it. I've looked at the Canadian Tire 5 drawer & found it's way over priced. They don't appear to be the same, rebadged.

It goes down to 300$ CAD (225 USD) on sale pretty regularly.

I'd say it's a thinner steel on the CT cart which makes the HF one worth it for the canucks with tax and duty if you are close to the border.

I picked up the harbour fright cart last time I was in the states long enough top not pay duty. I also shop at Canadian tire and they have their carry set there to 'play' with, definitely not the same cart.

I don't know how long ago you saw it at $300. In the last 2-3 years, I haven't seen it marked down lower than $399 on the flyer. As for thinner steel, it's the HF one that feels less solid ones you go in store and play around with it. IMO the HF boxes feel more like Mastercraft quality. The Maximum boxes like the cart do feel more solid.

It was $300 a week ago that’s when I picked it up. It goes down to $300 every two months or so, just got to watch for the sale on Canadian tire app.
