Hi everyone,
I have been reading quite a bit here on the forums and have gained quite a bit of knowledge. I Wanted to know if anyone has used a product from Durall MFG. It's called Dura Seal 400. I have tried doing a search but all the posts are fairly old. The cost is less than their Durapoxy which is a 100% solids. The Dura Seal is a 40-50% epoxy and Durall says once it cures the finish is just as durable as a 100% solids. The caveat is that the mil thickness is thinner due to the solvents evaporating. The cost is much less obviously, but I could use multiple coats for better build and still come in a little less that the 100% epoxy. Ambient temperature is around 100+ here so the working time for 100% epoxy is a concern of course.

My main concern is the product itself. I wanted to know if the product is no better than say rustoleum from Home Depot or whether it will hold up for a residential garage. Durall says they manufacture their own products and it is used in industrial applications. The folks their are nice to talk to and have 24/7 help. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks

Durall is a good product and I've laid thousands of square footage of their product.

the product flows and coats very well and drys to a nice shine.

their sunshine urethane top coat is a little touchy when it is warm out as it flashes quick.

Never a warranty issue with them as none of their floors have failed.

the floor prep products are good but need extra rinse cycles to get it all off.

I used their systems as follows
clean/prep and patch floor as needed.

apply coat of dura seal 400 color base coat with decorative chips
second coat of clear dura seal 400 middle coat
top coat with sunshine urethane.

that will give you one hell of a finished floor.

better products than most
