i own this set, quality is very good, ratchets feel nice. the problem is i cant really find a good use for them....i like having them because i know one day i will need them for the low profile characteristics. but make no mistake they will not replace your regular socket and socket wrench set

Have it and have used it a few times to work on shock struts. The quality seems very good and has good chroming. Main plus is the large spread of sizes included.

Has anybody even seen a comparo between the various pass-thru socket sets? I don't have one yet, but would like to get one, but I'm kind of at the paralysis through analysis stage... This one, the GW, the Kobalt, the CM (not very likely!). Dunno which way to go.

One thing to consider is which sets are compatible with others and which aren't. I ended up going the Home Depot/Craftsman/Gearwrench compatible family as I got a deal on HD sets, then filled in with extensions and other socket sizes not in those sets with Craftsman via points I had.

The Bostitch is Taiwan made and looks fine, but I don't have that one. There is a compatability thread here in Tools on GJ to check. - Paul

I have the 21-piece 3/8" DriveHarbor Freight Pittsburgh Pro Taiwan-made Go-Thru Socket Set. Several other sizes do help, especially in other drives

What was the lowest price the Bostitch has ever gone for?

I have the craftsman set which is made by gearwrench. It may be my favorite socket set. It gets used the most

Having six sets of pass thru sockets the bostitch are the most for the money.. I have gearwrench 3/8 and 1/2 sets for work .a kobalt universal spline set that is in a go bag. A kobalt 1/4 and 3/8 set pawn shop find $10 lives in camper . A kobalt set pieced together on closeout in home box and the bostitch set in my blazer. The bostitch I feel is best value for the the money large varity of sizes including some larger sizes. ,two ratchets makes a good carry set.

Picked up the last set at the local Walmart for $40 + tax. There were two sets there last week on the clearance rack, luckily there was 1 remaining yesterday when I went back.

I just stopped by a walmart while on vacation this weekend and found a set on clearance for $20. Definitely worth it at that price!
