Explain this one to me. I'm just trying to see it from your standpoint.

I was merely referring to drywall sheets.

I was thinking of waste. 25' 4" is less waste than 25' even. I always try to minimize the waste and number of cuts when ever I can. It really is not a lot of difference but it is some thing that I try to do when figuring dimensions for out buildings.

In a sense, I wish my builder would have said, let me recommend "X" to maximize cost vs space. But I just said give me this size and he recalculated the new cost.

Actually.. it would work out better, if you use 6" walls like I did. Because 25x35 is actually 24x34 inside.. although now the outside suffers.. the biggest cost is probably the spacing of the trusses.

OP check my sig.. im at 24x36 with 11ft walls and two 10x10 doors .. the 23ft inside depth is fine except full size trucks, which means you can't have a workbench opposite your door or the *** end of the truck will have to be outside during service. Smaller vehicles i have no problem with.

I have a 25' X 25' currently with an 8' X 18' double door. I'm adding on to this to make it a 25' X 37' garage. I'm adding an 8' X 9' wide door for the single bay add on and will put a four post lift in it for working on my sports car. I'm adding in floor heat when I repour the floor. If you can get an extra foot or two of width I think you'll have a nicely scaled 3 car. The 25' length 24' inside) accommodated my Dodge 2500 diesel (at 19' in length overall) comfortably. I'll have 11' height in the added bay to complement the 9'3" in the existing 2 bay garage.

Do you have a link to the build?

The total dimensions of my detached garage is right about at yours, at 24'x34'. It is broken down into a 23'x24' garage space, and two 10'x11' rooms, one is my Tiki Bar, the other is a small woodshop that is under construction. Here's what you can stuff into it...

No pics of the wood shop as yet, since it is overflowing with things yet to be unpacked and built, and the detritus of moving...

Yes I do. In the three years before I moved into my house, my Grandfather, and Father passed. So my garage is a conglomeration of theirs and mine. Gotta purge some things, and engineer better storage inside. I'm also building a pergola off the side to move some of the outdoor-resilient stuff to...
