Not sure? We bought the house in 2019. It was built in 2008.How old is it?
Aprilair 700a is a humidifier. Unit is tripping one of its safeties and locking out. Could be low on refrigerant or dirty have u checked its filter.

Thank you, I am wrong in my thinking of the system. I was under the impression it was a dehumidifier. I need to read more about this system obviously. It may be running as intended. The 700a is a humidifier, not a dehumidifier. If its running it is adding humidity to the air, not taking humidity out of the air. The humidistat should not be allowing it to run (I would hope with 66% RH when you're trying to cool the building.). You would probably want to look at the rest of the HVAC system to determine why its not removing humidity, I would assume something somewhere is not functioning properly.
If you post some information about the existing HVAC system some of us may be able to point you in the direction you need to go.Thank you, I am wrong in my thinking of the system. Thank you. I did replace the water panel this past winter due to it being clogged up.If you post some information about the existing HVAC system some of us may be able to point you in the direction you need to go.
Is the house cooling, and just high on humidity? I'd check the condensate drain out of the inside air handling unit first, and make sure that the moisture that's condensing has somewhere to go!
