Any reason why you would need both? Other than space or the cool look of an older press? It seems like the hydraulic press would handle most jobs. Is there more finesse with an arbor press?

Yup, ya answered your own question. I use my arbor press all the time. It's very handy for smaller assemblies and has a better feel when needed. For some processes such as broaching for me it just seems easier with the arbor press then the big boy. another consideration is they are much more accurate then your normal press.
It's all about the feel. Have both, a large arbor press, and a 20 ton hyd., way easier to "feel" what is actually going on with the arbor press.
