Here's mine, before and after replacement ...
The Square D was added because the original Nuvo? panel was full when we needed to add some additional circuits. This year, we installed central air and needed another breaker. Rather than continuing the hackery on the Nuvo panel (and because some of the breakers were failing to trip properly), I bit the bullet and replaced the whole shebang.
The square box in the middle is a whole house surge protector. I didn't have room to mount it into a knockout at the time. It was another impetus to replace the whole thing.
I was able to do this one myself because there is a Main disconnect at the transformer pod in the yard.
Except for the Square D panel, this is what I inherited when we bought the house over 20 years ago.

I replaced it with a 42/84 Homeline Panel.

Several of the wires were to short. Two were too short to get into the panel and I had to add a junction box. (The surface mount box seen on the left). And a couple of wires were too short inside the panel - thus the orange and yellow wire nuts/
I'm not crazy about these Homeline panels - particularly the ground lugs. They give you about 14 or 16 of the 3 lug ground strips - each of which have to be installed separately in the panel - and there's only one bolt holding each lug in place, so if you don't get it tight enough, you could have an intermittent ground - It's too easy to screw up (pun intended). With an impact drive you can get them tight enough but the bolts they supply are very soft and easy to strip the square drive hole.
This is not as neat as I like to do it, but I was "trying" to leave a little extra wire for moving things around if I need to.
Also, this picture was taken right after I finished the rewire and turned the power back on, so please don't be too hard on me for things that need to be cleaned up like stapling wires, putting the phone cable back into a box (lower left), etc. You can see the whole house surge protector (WHSP) now mounted on the bottom of the panel - (Note: no bushing required on the WHSP as the connector that penetrates the panel is plastic and very smooth.) I was also short one breaker on this install so I connected the WHSP to a load breaker on the bottom right. This was replaced with a dedicated breaker on the bottom left for the WHSP, and I shortened the wires to fit. (no extra cable to reduce the response time for the WHSP).
Some of the wires appear a little "stretched" - this is because they are a little short. I had to choose between adding more splices or making them fit as best as possible.
