The S-K made Matco wrenches were right after Bonney went out of business sometime during the 1990s.

nope.............sk made the cman pro's but not matco's.

the rcl series replaced the wcl's and they were armstrong afaik. the current mcl's replaced the rcl's and they are danaher as well.

I can only paraphrase, but he basically said "there is a difference" when referring to CM pros and other lines that look the same. Asked what, there wasn't anything he could offer.

There is a difference (notice I said "a" meaning one)......The Matcos cost appox. 4 times more than the Craftsman Pros.

Yes and No. Im sure there are several specific items that are very similar but the sockets are deffinitely different. Both impact and Chrome sockets. Everything from shape to size range is different.

Also, Matco guts fit in a lot of craftsman ratchets, but at the same time, a lot of craftsman stuff will not fit into Matco Ratchets due to the quick releases. Also, Matco offers a larger line of ratchets in styles that you cant get from craftsman, never mind the Finish.

Also, Craftsman sockets remind me more of armstrong sockets than Matco...
