And there's another thread going right now about them... wtf
http://www.garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=362100

I figured it out. They're reps from Proto trying to milk us for info on how to improve their name/tools.... Sneaky sneaky
That thread isn't about whether or not they are recommended. It's about Proto mis-representing their products.

I never questioned or denigrated the quality of the wrenches is question; only Proto's business practices.

Any one have an opinion on Proto,or what would be another choice?
The ratcheting spline wrenches that I have seem to be of excellent quality. Just be forewarned, some of Proto's stuff may not be made in the US even though they represent themselves as a US manufacturer...and are somewhat less than forthcoming about the country of origin for their tools.

They are a US manufacturer...

I believe the black sets are Taiwan. It doesn't say COO on the wrenches tho. Anyways, Taiwan or not, these wrenches are top quality well above GW and I love the thinner beams. They also have the anti-slip design.
