First off I know nothing about unitool that one I had to look up; but I had a good chuckle because the warranty kind of reminded me of ten feet out the door or two seconds later when the door closes behind you.

Don't get me wrong I sure they will stand behind everything, but the reading went something like...If we see any hammer marks, cheater pipes, two 600 lb. gorillas jumping on it, a drunk brother-in-law beating his( you fill in the blank), the breath from your mother in law, file marks, air gun abuse, dropped from fifty feet ,thrown in anger, blah, blah, blah then you can forget about it.

Not it any of those words mind you but you get the idea!

I own quite a few things from unitool their pretty unique and not widely accepted but only thing to fail on me is a 3/8 ratchet I never really liked anyways I should find it and send it in for warranty for abits and giggles haha over all though nothing has let me down over the 15 years I've owned them and I'm sure their double the age going back seem like good quality no frills tools in my opinion

Canadian brand that used to be supplied by the "uniselect" banner stores. A reasonably priced tool with decent quality........not much for finish...DIY classification in my mind.

In essence "Limited Lifetime warranty" don't you just love all that legal double talk.

As I said I am sure they will replace items but give me Lifetime and not use the word limited.

Yet another in a continuing series of tool brands I never heard of before. Website shows tons of different kinds of tools they make, so they must be in a lot of places. I obviously don't get out often enough.

The wrenches in the photo appear to be another S-K raised panel clone, common for many years in Asian product. That says nothing about the quality, though, which could be fine. Looks like the intimidator has some real world experience with them.

Where are these made? Where are they sold in the USA?

I don't know, Woody. Seems like they just took the time to be very detailed in their explanation so there's no surprises and no unrealistic expectations. "Limited" warranties are very common with products. They're warrantied against any manufacturer defects. If a tool is designed to take, let's say 40 pounds of torque and it only takes 30 before it breaks, that's defective. If it only breaks at 50, that's not defective, it's designed that way. If a tool is designed only to be used by hand and you break it with a 3-ft cheater pipe, that's not a result of a factory defect. At least they're not beating around the bush about it and are being very upfront.

The bad ones to me are those that sound like they'll replace just about anything, but start giving you the song and dance after you have a problem.

I like the more liberal warranties too, which seem to be more common with the major brands. But you tend to pay a higher price for these brands too. I have no idea what the price point on these tools are.

We both just posted in that "What I learned in GJ" thread. Let's see if an argument starts! :lol_hitti
