I have a 3/8 drive long ratchet 11-973, that self reverse, Is there kit to replace it? Who owns Armstrong?

The part# for the ratchet repair kit is product# 11-990 includes:Gear,pawl,shifting lever,spring,ball,cover plate,2 cover plate screws. P.S. 36 tooth by the way.

Yeah I sell Armstrong too!..but I really like my Wright tools!

P.S. I only sell the USA made Danaher tool lines.

Armstrong kicks ***. I have put your wrenches to the test. None of this sissy mechanics **** either.

I'd be interested to hear how their wrenches are qualitatively different than the other brands...share share!

I called, the that guy that answered said Fastenal does the warrenty for Armstrong, he said repair kit is 11-990. He said Fastenal could order it, since the ratchet has a lifetime warrenty, they can give the repair kit for free.
And he said I had any problems call 1-800-688-8949...... and they would fix...

Thanks guys,...... I will take the ratchet to Fastenal.........
Danaher has good customer service...... thanks again,.

Usually don't see an industrial supplier selling both Armstrong and Wright, it's usually one or the other out here, Wright has gotten a lot more popular out this way lately. They were quite popular out here when I was a kid as well then they seemed to disappear for awhile.

if it self reverses your spring is either to week and needs to be stretched or the lub is to thick and the pawl is sticking to the gear. i would try those first and keep the kit as a spare.

Why can't Armstrong just send you one? Seems like a pain to have to take it to Fastenal. But I guess they have to verify that you indeed have the ratchet in the first place.

I took it apart, 2 teeths are broken....

You started this thread over a year ago... you've been screwing with this broken ratchet for a YEAR? :confused:

I had being using Snap On ect... other brands, but I like shape of it, so I have decided to fix it...
