Does anyone know if this brand tool is any good. I am planning to buy ATD Tools (ATD13783) 32 pc. Master Hex Bit Socket Set. Not sure where they are made of (COO). This set seems most complete. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks
VIM stuff is Taiwan and their hex sockets hold up just as well as Snap-On.
How do you know ATD is an OEM and not just another company that rebrands and markets the tools? If you look on their website, it looks like they have a lot of items that appear pretty generic and very similar to items rebranded by a bunch of companies.
Also, their website doesn't say anything about them actually manufacturing any tools.

I sent out a note to ToolTopia customer service and they told me this product is made in China and has only 1 year warranty. Does anyone know about this. My idea was this is made in Taiwan and had a Lifetime Warranty. If that is the case how come on ebay same set is selling saying Lifetime Warranty.
I talked with a Cornwell dealer and he said that ATD and Cornwell are in a partnership for a lot of tools that Cornwell doesnt make in house like their hex bits.

I have a handful of ATD tools, they hold up decently well for the price. I agree with others that they just re-brand tools, so their quality control will PROBABLY be spotty.
Their hex bits in the green holder LOOK TO ME just like Cornwell's. I also have a 6+ year old set of HF bits that are identical to the Cornwell/ATD. I AM GUESSING they all come from the same factory.
Just my 2 cents.
