I apologize if this has been answered already, just want a confirmation before I run out to purchase the insulation.
Fully finished garage (9' ceiling), full drywall and insulated walls. There is zero insulation over ceiling in the attic over the garage. I can start with kraft faced insulation, paper facing down. Then if I want a higher R value, unfaced laid across the first layer at 90 degrees.
The unfaced seems to be harder to find in my area, but plenty of the kraft faced rolls. At a min, I want to go with a R30, though R60 is recommended here in NJ.
Thanks.
