My wife and I recently purchased our first home and luckily for me we came to the agreement that she can do what she will in the house, but the garage is mine
After completing the first major project in the house, it's my turn. It is a small garage, only 18X19 so space is limited. My plans include but are not limited to the following:
- Paint
- Shelving
- Workbench
- 1 - stool height
- 1 - thick top work bench
- Utility Sink
-Lighting: four T8 4' fixtures and one to hang over the bench on a separate switch.
So far I have accomplished two phases of the garage and currently am in phase three(paint). Over the next week or two I will cut out the places for extra outlets, hide the garage door opener wiring, mud, primer and then paint.
Phase One:
- Get rid of space taking shelf and clean
Before:
After:
Phase Two:
The only things that were done in this phase were to hang the bicycles, put up some hooks for cords and organize a bit more.
Phase Three:
At the start
After an hour to finish out the day:
Please forgive the phone camera photos. For the paint color I have been looking at different things Audi to find a good gray color to use. A friend of mine has a collection of books including one that gives a history of the design for the Audi Museum in Germany. My plan is to use this as a reference for the color. I don't want to put too much Audi specific things in the garage but put in some accents to set it apart.
