So I fixed the paint job on the PVC rot free baseboards. Added about a 1/2" strip which made it look a lot nicer. Was not happy with how it looked before.

I still have not put the threshold down. I am replacing the garage door rubber weatherstrip and will see how that fairs.

Put a new entry base weatherstrip. I just need to shim and redo the window trim.

Big *** spider I found. Measured 3-1/2" in diameter. Largest daddy long legs I have ever seen. I am sure others have seen bigger.

Taped. Yes insulation will be redone on the garage doors. Should be good enough for this winter though. Might attack it sooner though.

Tried a couple panoramic shots. I wasn't able to keep the camera straight but yeah.

Painted! I also decided to paint the ceiling attic entries.

Still need to do window/entry door shimming and trim. Not sure whether to go PVC rot free again for doors and windows or just plain jane MDF material. Anyone have any input? The PVC stuff is not cheap at $20-$60 per 8 foot piece depending on how fancy you want to go.

2 Month report on the floor coating. Still in great shape. Lip that is outside exposed to the elements has a small crack but nothing major. Inside the garage though is excellent.+

B+ so far for the money.

Well old man winter demotivated me and I kind of stopped working on the garage.

Been awhile since I have updated om here. Bought a bunch of Home Depot organization stuff as well as there work benches. I am very happy with everything.

Pictures coming. Sorry about floors but Canadian winters *****. Certain items I had in the garage were for pictures only. They are back in the house.

In the summer I intend to redo all this window trim. Finish up odds and ends on the Husky cabinets as I never really finished leveling, squaring and putting locks in.

I'd be afraid of keeping those gun case's in the garage. Better in a safe

You may be the average guy, but that piece of canvass is hardly the average garage, that is a nice size place you have.

kdj-They were only in there as I was out shooting the next day. They are in my house locked down until I get the 2 safes that are in the garage anchor bolted down to the cement. Actually I haven't decided if I want to move the safes into the house/basement or have them in the garage.

I am putting in a Vivent security system soon so that is why I am leaning towards having the safes in the garage.

Thanks FLI. I humbly appreciate your kind response. I have seen some of the super garages on this forum. I am by no means that financially well off but I work hard for what I do have.

I called it the "average garage for the average guy" as it is not really specific to any type of work. Pretty much light duty work or small duty work (IE - dirt bike) only which is all I do. Oil changes, various work on the dirt bikes etc etc. It is not really a construction/ woodworker, auto mechanic, green thumb or welder/fabricators garage. Just an average joe garage

Looks like a safe or two in the boxes.

to the OP, nice work so far. I feel your pain re; Our winters!

Ya I had these cheap Tapson tarp mats to contain all the water/ snow. Absolute garbage. Waste of $400 (2 mats). I found Winkler Canvas out of Manitoba. They make a seriously heavy duty garage mat with 2" lips all the way around. They were expensive but worth it.

Mats with the 2" lip ll the way around work great. On bad snow weeks I have to empty it every 2 weeks. On light snow I will empty it every month by dragging it out and giving her the old flip.

It is surprising how much snow falls from under your truck.

I need mats as my garage has a slight slope or taper. All the melted water when it first started snowing would slowly drain to the one corner or wall. It is an older garage and I don't have a drain or anything like that and don't want to put one in. Thank goodness I put up PVC rot free 6" baseboards from Lowes all around and sealed them good or else it might have been trouble.

You are humble my friend. It's a cool garage and clearly based on that big heater, a comfortable place to spend time regardless of the outside temperature.

This is certainly not an "Average" garage, great space, and you are doing well, can wait for some more updates! Lots of space and potential.

Keep it up!

Great looking garage!

I've got the same blue Honda CT70. My parents bought it for my sister new in 76 and I restored it a few years ago. I still love riding it around the neighborhood.

Put the safes in the house in the basement. You really don't want them sitting around where people might see them. If your friends ever come over and bring a buddy that you don't know, they might see the safes and assume that there is something valuable inside. Even if they do not, they might tell others about those really nice safes that you have in your garage. We always recommend that people hide their safes so that nobody else ever knows that you have them.
