After seeing the thread showing the tour of the Vaughan hammer plant. I thought if people like that they will love this.
Low quality forging and machining.

Haha...quite a difference .... and I didn't see anybody wearing hearing protection![]()

I'm Glad I posted the videos. I laugh a little as I like everyone on here wants manufacturing to stay in the western world. But when I show people these types of videos people get a bit shocked at the working conditions.
I think it's awesome personally.
Would be awesome to learn to do that.I was a drop forger at Moore Drop Forge, we made Craftsman tools, forgings for Ford, frames for Colt and a whole host of other cos. Moore was a great place to work. I was very lucky to be a employee.
Cool.
It would be great if you did something like a Q & A thread for all of us tool fanatics here.
What do you think?
If I can help anyone out I sure would, we made all Craftsman forgings for Sears. Miller Falls, made non forged tools like saw blades and most other hand tools.
OP Cool forging video. Just the skill of those guys with the tongs and the rhythm of what was that? Sand?[/QU
