I've been working out of a lift lid to cart for about a year and I hate it. I like a work surface that doesn't move

Same here - I learned when I started that flip-lids and I don't get along. I use a cart to pile tools / parts on during the work - can't be constantly moving that stuff to get under the lid for another tool.

I really want one, I have wanted a krl756 for years to use as a roll cart, but never seems to be any deals on them and cannot find a used one anywhere close. Year or two ago my dealer with about every other one had black 1056 boxes with a real good price on them, but I didn't want the added height. So really excited about this new epiq one, Full depth but nice work height, and of course stainless top comes included.

I dunno about black, but I really would like to give a 1056 a try. But then I'm 6'6" tall, so I kinda need the extra height.

so heavy metal, what color did you end up ordering? and how long of wait? I see you ordered the extra panel for the other side. If it shows up with the handle I would like to buy it from you. Let me know, thanks

Sure thing, I'll keep it in mind and we will see what shows up.

The color issue is a bit of a situation of it's own.....I told toolman that red is fine, but the R&R truck guy remembered my big box is green micah and asked if I wanted that, even though it's not listed as an option. I told him that would be great, and I'm not in a hurry, so I'll wait for that if I can get it. He said it'll be about September sometime -- 8 weeks or so, give or take some.

Did you guys have a drawer option on these? I want to get it with as many thin drawers as possible.

I didn't even ask - I was fine with the stock layout. I'd ask the dealer and see. I'd bet they'd do it. If they will do it, then just tell them to get a an extra set of the drawer liners - every time I've gotten / or seen a custom layout that equals more drawers than stock, they just throw a stock set in and forget to adjust appropriately.

2 months - give or take some.....I think last time I ordered custom color it took closer to 3 months....I wish it where faster, but I also understand the volume of boxes.

Nice! Again, I really want one or a side locker but I'll probably be upgrading my masters roll cab and top chest to an epiq in the next 2 years plus my paint is getting a little faded so a new side locker would look weird. Finding a used one has been damn tough too.

That's why I think it's better to order a baby epiq in the color I'll eventually get my next box in. :willy_nil

You can basically ask for any color and they will try to accommodate you. Idk about the custom drawer depth. Mine came with 2 extra liners and a liner for a top bay.

I am betting that they gave you the liner kit for the sidekiq. it has the inside of top and extra drawer so that makes sense. Heck maybe they just make one liner kit to cover both workstations.

Wait for the rock n roll truck, if you wanna box and locker they can do some sweet deals. I love my locker on my epic and hate my buddy's masters series lockers.

You can custom being the online offerings. You just have to wait and you'll likely pay full price

I priced one out today with my driver. With the non rock n roll incentives, I got the price to 3280. Didn't pull the trigger... I'm going to try and get that new floor jack thrown in for a little more or just sweat him out.

I really think this is my best option with my aging and fading masters roll cab and top chest to get a baby epiq in the color my next box will be.

I was curious, was told the top has a steel shell underneath it instead of wood like the boxes.

Nice Cart. Wouldn't mind one for work mmmm

Anyhow, I have a 1056 at home. This cart has similar dimensions. Don't be fooled by the pics. It's allot bigger than it looks.

Fancy snapping some pics standing next to this cart anyone? Or using something like a garbage can as a reference.

it is indeed a large cart, I almost bought a 1056 but I like the epiq height, think its like 5-6" shorter.
