Congrats on the milestone, man! Will you be working in it over the winter or just using it for temp storage until u finish it in the spring?

K2 - probably mostly storage for the tractor, snowmobile and other stuff I don't want in my attached garage. I may work in it, but my attached garage is heated, so chances are if I need to do anything, it will be in there. The long term plan is to get a concrete floor in the barn and a woodstove for the winter months, and then I'll probably do more in there.
So a little update. I installed the lights and a couple of receptacles over the weekend. This week I closed up the soffits and have been working on general clean up. The only thing I really want to do yet is wrap the whole thing in Tyvek. Here are a couple shots from last night:

Wood stoves are so classic... and they warm you twice (if you chop ur own wood)
Would you absolutely need the concrete down before the wood stove since you have gravel already? Or ur just going to wait since you have a warm garage to work in anyway?
Tyvek will last for years exposed... not encouraging it, but it will be fine for the winter and spring. My old boss still hasn't sided the back of his house after almost ten years and the tyvek has held up just fine. You know the saying: "The last house a contractor works on is his own."

Great job on pole shed build (despite the initial setbacks)! Looks like the front door turned out better anyway with the new layout.
Just noticed the giant poles in back wall that go all the way to top of shed. I'd sure put in a loft door on the back of shed that are 2 doors that open outward, AND rig you up some sort of crane to lift heavy stuff up into loft. A sliding I-beam of steel that was tucked away in peak until it was needed would be way cool. That will make that space so much more useful.

Well, it looks like I'm not going to get around to finishing this up this year. The shed has functioned very well over the past year, even though I really wanted to get it finished up. The reason was that I had exchanged the tractor with my mom for finishing the basement in her new condo - and I've been busy with that all year (a lot more work than I had anticipated). Then we had a really bad windstorm here in July that caused over about $30K in damage to the house, and really set everything back. On the plus side, the shed was fine.
I am just finishing up my mom's basement, but I don't think I'll get around to the shed before the snow flies. Here's hoping for the spring...

I'm back!
The last 2 years have been incredibly busy with one thing after another, but finally I am working on this project again. In September I found some James Hardie material to finish the exterior. The bottom portion is going to be board and batten, and the gable ends will be lap siding. I got started on the east wall last week. I also spent a few days re-grading around the building, and installed proper drainage tile. And today I framed up the garage door jamb, in preparation for the door next week. I'll throw up some pictures in the next few days...

We made some great progress on the shed today! But oh, was it cold! Winter showed up on Sunday night and it was about -20 degrees in the wind today. But, a friend who is does this work for a living set today aside for me, so we plugged on. I'm very happy with the look!

I can not believe how winter has completely arrived! We made some more progress on the exterior today in sub freezing temps. We finished sheeting the back and the west wall and trimmed the garage door, the man door and window. Tomorrow I hope to finish the battens on the west wall and the back wall (south). Next week the soffits and fascia....
You can see under the window that the sheeting is a different colour than the rest. When I bought the material, I knew that I would be short on the sheeting, and the only supplier in town stocks just primed sheets. So, I'll have to wait until spring to match the colour. The south wall has all just primed sheeting as well.

Yesterday I finished up the battens on the last two walls. The weather really warmed up too, so it was a bit miserable working in the drizzly rain. All that is left on the exterior is the soffit and fascia, which we hope to measure up this week. I also cleaned up the inside, which seems to be an ongoing process. I'll post some pics mid week or so...

I have learned the hard way about getting permits. When I was much younger I built a covered porch. I had applied for the permit, but never got a call to pick it up. The county I live in tried to make an example of me by fining me ten's of thousands of dollars. I will Never build again without a permit. And your shed looks great!
