Wow that looks like $hit. I will let others answer, but I think jackhammer and re-pour is the answer.

I'd say you got your moneys worth. How thick is the pour and how big of an area are you talking about? To me I don't think that can be fixed.

Just remember this is the internet and the answers you get here are worth what you paid for them.

I would grind the floor, I have run across this in the past and grinding made a great looking floor.

If you don't like how it turns out then you can look at options like tile or epoxy.

Never had that happen. However if he was busy, not enough labor, and it got away from him.Yes.Also 'some' concrete cos after first round if there is concrete left over will load on top!!! Thus creating a 'hot' load that can set up to fast.My 2cts.

Yes, but here we are now.

Other than removing it and starting all over, which we all know you won't do, then you have three choices: 1). Live with it as is; 2). Grind it and live with it; 3). Grind it and tile it. That's it, it's your decision.

Long Beach CA, the sewer by the sea.
Ceramic or porcelain tile is not the only answer for covering a bad floor. There are many options from snap together rubber and plastic tiles or solid sheets. There are urethanes that are used on balconies, etc. Look at many commercial walkways and accessible roofs.

One of my favorite floor coverings is Pirelli coin but there are many others and a lot less expensive. Flexco Repel is oil resistant. This time, do your research.

If it were mine I would grind it so it was at least fairly smooth, then get Racedeck tiles to cover the floor. Ceramic or porcelain tiles would be really good, but if you go that route I would recommend having someone do the job who knows what they are doing instead of having a "buddy" do it. Not saying a "buddy" can't do good work, but in this particular case we know having a "buddy" do it didn't work out quite as well as planned.
