I purchased a QuickJack about a year ago and have enjoyed its mobility and ease of use with our 3 vehicles, but about 2 weeks ago it was stuck in the fully lifted position with a car on top. After being told that I was using the QuickJack outside of its intended operational temperatures (I understand in California the temps never drop below Sunny and 75, but I live in Wisconsin and it gets cold sometimes and I can't wait until Spring to fix a water pump), I brought the unit in the house and had a go trying to identify the failure method. I eventually tracked it down to the failed relay in the electrical box on top of the motor. I can manually switch it over and was able to get my car down, but this is a major inconvenience. I've called QuickJack (BendPak) customer support numerous times and have been given answers such as "we don't have a reference to your product, sorry we can't help you" to "email our parts department". Well after my email to parts had gone unanswered, I called and asked to be transferred to the parts department -- I was disconnected twice while on the line! I've given up, and am turning to the Garage Journal for some help.
Can anybody help spec a relay so I can get my car down off of the QJ? I've attached an image of the failed relay.
Thanks so much in advance!
