I was worried because one of them had the 0 in "10" scratched out, and some didn't even have quantities. But they were all ten packs



I will put some sets together soon.

Ease off the bedspread guys! Lol. I had a beige one that was dry clean only. $30 to clean it, F that! Threw that old rag back on. It serves the purpose. Why buy a bedspread when I can buy more tools?

One of my machinist books (by Guy Lautard I think) has an article on making your own file handles based upon the dimensions of your hand. Haven't tried it though...

Nothing wrong with a 1$ China piece of wood to use as a handle. If possible however, I'd prefer somehting a lil more reifned. Preferably a composite. At least with a hole on the handle so I can hang the files.
The PB Swiss handles are a bit too expensive I guess but may there is something else out there for less dorrah but similar.

here's my experience, i ordered about 12 different 10 packs and received 8 different single files the rest where on back order. i called amazon for a refund they had big red toolbox uk send me an email about picking them up. i told them what dates i would be home for the pick up and they sent me another email stating they refunded my money and i could keep the files. i thought that was a good deal.

SO my story so far. I think I ordered about 10 packs, all carefully choosing Amazon as the seller. Received delayed shipping dates for all, sept something. Today I received 2 emails, one notifying me of a shipment of one pack early, the other cancelling an order of one pack (flat cut 2- 10 inch... really needed those). But, conveniently sending me to another shipper that is charging like 80 for the pack.

Anyone having any luck fighting with customer service over the cancellation?

Ha, i just got the same cancellation e-mail today as well. I've still got another 5 orders waiting to ship... we'll see, even if they don't come through I already have 7 sets

Got the files from the UK last month. Just singles but they paid for return shipping and full refund. Ones from Amazon--states one set shipped. All others were cancelled today.

I like the look of those but I'm not getting how they work? Files all have tapered tangs so what exactly are you screwing in?

You are screwing in the tapered tang. These come in many sizes so if you get the correct size the internal thread will bit on the thickest part of hype tang and cut some threads. I have a few that I quickly test fit. They held well and I didn't even torque them on. Don't know if they would survive repeated on off though.
