Answered a CL posting for a "Big Grinder" today, and this is what I came home with.

Had been looking for a Baldor grinder or buffer to put on a Baldor pedestal I had, and this one will work quite well.

Grinder is a 1hp, 1800rpm, 1ph, 120/230v 10in machine. Came with 1 10x1 wheel. Missing left side tool rest, and 1 wheel, (hardware was there) Broken Plexiglas shield also, so I will be looking for a left side tool rest and bracket like this right one,

And a new plexiglass shield.
Anyone know if these parts are available through Baldor? Or after market parts co.some where? Haven't gotten to check yet, so if you have a heads up I would appreciate it.
Since I had 2 new 11/2in x 10in stones from another machine, I decided to move them to this machine. During disassemble I was shocked at condition of this thing. I am quite sure only very light, if any grinding has been done by this machine. No metal flakes or grit anywhere. Just clean paint. MUCH better than I had expected from the poor picture in the "Big Grinder" CL post. Nothing to clean up, just wipe off a little dust and change the stones, good to go.
Up and running on temporary 220v plug, and sweet machine. Not sure if the 1 ½ stones will stay or not. Anyone running one like this with this big of a stone? Seems a bit much for the 1hp to spin up. Should I go back to 1in stones?
Looking forward to your comments.
