Good afternoon all..its been quite a while, but GJ has been an amazing resource over the years...heres my latest project...
as you may recall, i did Avionics on Marine F4-J's as a child, twisted wrenches on German stuff as a dealer tech and retired as a Xerox Sales manager after 35 years in 2012.. i like well built technical things!
So...when i was younger i had more time that money, but now things have flip flopped a bit...
I'm planning on downsizing our home..she's ok with it..
Here's my idea... with 2 Rotary lifts and a fat German rocket to play with ...Oh its a 2011 SL63
I'm all about used equipment i.e lifts, but I'm looking for other ideas ideas from the collective..I don't need a full blown auto shop..just a basic oil change, maintenance type shop on well taken care of specimens..
I don't like to work on nasty, dirty neglected junk...ok, I'm a bit of a prima donna.
I'm in the very early stages of design and selection of the shop/home.
Believe it or not, I'd like to offer back to Veterans and women through a trade school arrangement or such, some hands-on tech time to learn basic auto maintenance tips and tricks...there are too many rip off, so called mechanics around today..yes, i believe we live in a different time....
My only daughter has picked up some amazing auto maintenance skills from the ole man and i'd like to expand that out a bit...here are a couple of pictures of the barndominum and the German fat rocket...comments please...
thanks again waltinbatonrouge
