On my recently installed (half complete) VCT floor, I am considering baseboard options.
One of my concerns is moisture, either from rain, snow, or the occasional mopping of the floor.
Initially I thought of the vinyl base. I also thought that I could use pressure treated wood (1" x 4" for example) and paint it, caulk the edge of it to the floor. I suppose that I also could run a router along the top of the p/t lumber.
The p/t wood would be cheaper, but I'd need to dry it then paint it.
Vinyl base would be okay, but it is not really sealed to the floor. It just kind of sits there.
I ruled out MDF and f/j pine.
Any other thoughts?
