Hello, this might not be the best place for this question but i posted in another forum and got nothing.
I am installing an in-ground basketball hoop for my kids. My driveway is 16' wide and the instructions say to place it as close to the court as possible. The hoop has over a 2' overhang. It would make sense to me with my only 16' wide driveway that i would set the anchor bolts 18" back to allow for the over hang. Thus giving my kids almost the full 16' to work with. My kids are 6 and 8 so its unlikely to see very many intense basketball games.
Can anyone provide some insight?
thank you

I thought that was a thing of the past.
